The basis of air-supported hangars is a durable PVC-reinforced fabric, hermetically fixed on a strip foundation. Air is supplied inside the shell, creating excess pressure and serving as a support for the structure, while there is no rigid frame. This allows the use of air support hangars to cover large areas without the use of intermediate columns. This type of structure is especially in demand when covering sports grounds.

Pneumo-frame hangars are a frame building consisting of arched cylinders, inflated with air under a certain pressure, interconnected and covered with an awning protective canvas. The cylinders can be either sealed or equipped with an automatic air pumping system. Pneumo-frame hangars do not require the obligatory arrangement of a site for the construction of a hangar. They can be easily erected on any flat surface within a short time, from 10 minutes to several hours, depending on the size.
