We make pneumohangars in large sizes, and it might seem that it costs just as much to maintain them. But it doesn’t!
Electricity is used to run the control, warning and inflation systems. The inflation system is economical because of the high tightness of the air tanks – an automatic control monitors the pressure and switches the compressors on and off. On average, the compressors are switched on 1-2 times a day.
For example, a pneumoanghar of 500 m² needs 30 kW per day. This is only 900 kW per month.
The electricity costs for such a pneumohangar are comparable to the electricity costs of a small country house 🙂
